Total Whiteout!

Yay!!! I love snow so, it was a very welcome surprise for me to wake up to Winter Wonderland again this morning.... eurgh, that sounded like a cheesy link to my Sunday playground, but there was no pun intended - honest! But.... now that we're on the subject, why not get over there and play along with us this week. Pascale has made a fab sketch to follow, the theme is open, and Chris from The Sketching Stamper has very kindly donated 4 of her magnificent digi images to one lucky player who's name will be drawn randomly next Saturday! You will find a copy of the sketch on my sidebar, and this is the card I created using the sketch as a guide:

I mentioned in my previous post that I have had a lot of fabulous opportunities to paint again this week, and the cards I've made are below. I'm not embarrassed or ashamed to admit that I will happily allow myself to be inspired and influenced by other people's art, and Kim and Chris between them, with their fabulous painting skills, have this week enticed me to get my distress inks out again and try to use them more creatively, and I am so delighted with the results. My mojo was also lifted when I received a plate of Sweet Pea Stamps - OMG, Fantasy Art at it's best! These are just adorable and such fun to play around with, and I think they go perfectly with these gorgeous Websters papers! See what you think:

And they don't mind a bit of glitter, these girls!! They remind me of Girls Aloud - the last one, I think looks like Cheryl Cole!! LOL!

A little tale that made me splutter this week. We were watching The Weakest Link and one of the contestants introduced himself as an Antiques Dealer. My youngest's eyes nearly popped out of his head in disbelief as he exclaimed "How does he get away with that??" I thought for a moment, wondering what he was talking about, and when I asked him what was wrong with that, he replied "He just admitted he's an Antique Stealer!!!" ROFL!!!

Thank you for popping in here on your journey, I hope you liked what you saw and hopefully left with a smile and maybe a little inspired yourself! Have a great week ahead :o) xx

Just a little Thank You!

What a fab week I've had largely due to the beautiful creations of two fabulous ladies in particular because their amazing work has inspired me to get paintbrushes out again and try a bit of painting with distress inks. I have spent my free time this week having the most wonderful time with my paintbrushes and my deflated mojo has taken an upward turn and I haven't enjoyed myself so much for ages!

I have created this award especially for those two ladies, Chris and Kim, and for my wonderful team mates over at Winter Wonderland whose creativity never fail to inspire me. They do everything with such good humour and they are all so kind and considerate and they very much deserve my grateful thanks! So I want to pass this onto, in alphabetical order

Thank You so much ladies, every one of you, you make blogland a wonderful place to be! Please feel free to pass this onto anyone who inspires you too! :o)

Websters and Tattered Angels

OMGoodness, it's February already - worse, it's almost halfway through February and I haven't blogged yet! I wanted to say a big Thank You to everyone for their lovely kind comments on my offering for the I Love Digi DT call. Elaine very kindly did offer me a place but sadly I had to turn it down as I have now been booked onto an 8 week intense training course which I cannot miss out on, but I wish them loads of luck for their launch next week.

In the meantime, have you seen Websters new products? OMG, they've teamed up with Tattered Angels and over on the Inspire ME site you have the opportunity to win some gorgeous products. Get over there and see for yourself! Swwwoooooon!!!!

Well I'm going to go and have a play with my Websters pages now - I've seen so many gorgeous inspirational projects over there that my mojo needs pulling down from the ceiling right now!
